Thomas Parkerson is a founding member and managing partner of PARKERSON | SANTEL | GARNER, PLLC. Thomas began practicing law at the firm of Boston, Holt, Sockwell, and Durham in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee focusing on domestic and civil work such as divorce, child custody and personal injury. He then had the opportunity to begin his extensive criminal background in 2005 with his move to Murfreesboro to the 16th Judicial District District Attorneys Office. As a former Assistant District Attorney General in Murfreesboro, Smryna, LaVergne and all Rutherford County and Cannon County, Thomas prosecuted cases which ranged from as simple as public intoxication to as complicated as first degree murder and has been fortunate to gain important trial experience that has been essential in the representation of legal matters.
After 6 years as a prosecutor Thomas entered into private practice at Bennett, Parkerson, and Bray, an association of attorneys. Taking advantage of his time as a prosecutor he used this knowledge to specifically focus on criminal defense for his clients. In 2014 Thomas and his childhood friend and former prosecutor as well, Tommy Santel, opened the firm of PARKERSON | SANTEL | GARNER, PLLC. The firm has also added the services of attorney Blake Garner who practices in the areas of business law, real estate, employment and personal injury. The firm handles all criminal matters, including DUI defense, drug charges, and any misdemeanor or felony. Other major practice areas include personal injury, divorce and custody, business law, real estate and employment law and wills and estates.
